Terms of use and fair play

Your account

You play online with your www.pelotology.com account. It is personal: don't share it and don't let other people play with it.
Choose a respectful in-game name. Names that are offensive, impersonate someone else or advertise something can be changed or removed.
Online expansions you buy on www.pelotology.com are linked to the account you bought them with.

Fair play in online matches and rankings

Matches against real players count for the Player Rank, the Top 10 rankings and some emblems. To keep them fair for everyone, these are not allowed:

Playing against yourself: using a second account (yours or someone else's), two browsers or two devices to play a match against your own account.
Arranged matches: agreeing with another player that one of you loses or surrenders on purpose, to make the other climb.
Bots, scripts or tools that play for you or read information you shouldn't see.
Exploiting bugs to win. If you find one, please tell us at [contact e-mail].

What happens if the rules are broken

We check the match records and the reports we receive. If an account breaks these rules, depending on how serious it is we can:

cancel the results of the matches involved and correct rank, rankings and emblems;
suspend the account from online play for a period;
ban it from the online game permanently.

The same can apply to every account taking part (for example the second account used to play against yourself). If you think a decision about your account is wrong, write to [contact e-mail].

The service

The online game is offered as it is and may change: rules, cards, heroes, rankings and rewards can be updated or balanced. Matches in progress can be lost when the server is updated. We can reset rankings when needed (for example at the start of a new season).
